ECM Mechanika Slim PID Espresso Machine

Big things indeed come in small packages; the Mechanika Slim PID sports a massive 2.2-liter stainless steel heat-exchange boiler with 1.6 bar steam pressure at its high end to produce a luscious microfoam for lattes. The Slim PID adds a PID with a shot timer and two additional features to offer the home barista more control of the brewing process:

Automatic Pre-Infusion

Pre-infusion helps mitigate channeling issues and can help promote even extraction. After lifting the brew lever, the Slim PID releases a small amount of water for several seconds at low pressure to saturate the puck, pauses, and then kicks on for full pressure.
